PACKING FOR WEDDING NIGHT!

Guys, now this is something every bride should look into seriously that is, packing essentials for your wedding night. Yeah. You read it right! I wonder why no one talks about this kind of stuff in our society? They would love to ask you questions like "koi khushkhabri" the next morning. But no one bothers to prepare you for the night before that! I am not going to talk about the deep down matters over here but just the general stuff that needs to be considered as important as any other wedding preparation. Let us talk about the Wed-Night Bag. It's alway a good idea to prepare your night bag to be at ease and to avoid any kind of embarrassing situation. Plus, it will also make you hassle free and saves you time.

Calling your sisters, cousins, chaachi, maami and inlaws for help on that particular night sounds weird to me. Girl, you have got married, you are an adult now and you should be self-sufficient! I mean it's a private affair and regardless of what place you are planning to celebrate your night at, (a hotel or your in-laws place), you should be well aware and well-prepared for this in advance. I guess, no bride feels comfortable in asking for a toothbrush, wipes or other stuff from people outside her room.

This one 'power bag' would save you from opening multiple suitcases and searching your desired items (while making your room messy). You surely would want to hug me one day for this, crying with gratitude (mild dramatics). So, let's jump into the bag and help you get started.

Note: This is what I feel a bride would need. You can adjust stuff according to your preference. It's always a good idea to start packing one week before your wedding, so you would have enough time to arrange all the things you will need.

1-TOILETRIES This includes anything that is related to your hygiene or are personal care products. Add whatever you like but do not forget to keep Toothbrush Mouthwash (Nobody loves bad breath!) Freshmints Penti-liners or sanitary pads Deodorant/ roll on. (You don't want to scare him to death being a stink bomb!)

2- COSMETICS I have tried to keep this fairly minimal. You may need Makeup Remover: This has to be one of the most important products in your bag. You cannot get rid of those layers of makeup on your face without this gem. I prefer a cream based cleansing milk. Remove your makeup properly or else your clogged pores may lead to a breakout next morning. (Welcome back acne!!) Face Wash: The one that suits your skin type. Cutex Remover: Do not forget to keep cotton swabs, cutex remover, and a nail-filer. Conditioner: Oh man, trust me its a life saver! Backcombing is such a nightmare and nobody has enough stamina to comb out for hours and loose tons of hair! Do not comb! Just before you jump into the shower, put some conditioner, actually lots of it, massage gently and rinse it off starting from the tips to the roots. This will help you detangle all your hair. *zaberdast*

Moisturizer: You always need that and it also helps you to remove your jewelry easily without leaving scratches behind.

Contact Solution: Incase you are using contact lenses, you need their wash.

3-CLOTHING Beside your dress, shoes, and accessories for the next morning, you would need a clean set of innerwear, lingerie set, slippers and a towel. Be it a nightgown or you silky PJs, just keep whatever you are comfortable in.

4-SNACKS You might want to have a late night snack because usually, the couple does not eat at the venue. So, do not forget to throw some snacks in your bag.

5-OTHERS Other items may include your gadgets: cell phone and its charger. Carry your identity-card/passport. A box to keep in all of your safety and bobby pins. A bag or a box for keeping your valuables safe i.e, your wedding jewelry and cash! Last but not the least, keep a band-aid and make sure you keep some basic medicines for a headache or body ache.

That's all I have packed. Let me know if there's anything left. Do not forget to hit the little heart at the bottom right of the post.

Till next!

Much love
